2011 USCS Speedweek--Hagar Ends With A Win!!

West Memphis, AR - 5/28/11—USCS Speedweek Night 1—Derek Hagar started 15th at the USCS Speedweek Opener at Parts Plus Riverside International Speedway on Saturday night. Hagar charged his way into a 3rd place finish on a flat left rear tire after being run over by a lapped car in turn 2 with 2 laps to go!

Greenville, MS - 5/29/11—USCS Speedweek Night 2 – Derek Hagar was high-point man for the 2nd night of Speedweek after charging his way from 5th to 2nd in his heat race. This hard charge earned him the pole starting position for the feature, and he remained in that position after drawing a zero for the inversion. Hagar was leading the race when he was passed by #88 Tim Crawley on lap four and unfortunately fell victim to a mishap on the restart of lap 10 when attempting to take back the lead causing him to rollover and placing him in 15th position for the finish.

Atwood, TN 5/30/11—USCS Speedweek Night 3–Hagar was off to a great start for the 3rd night of Speedweek. He rapidly made his way from 7th starting position to a 3rd place finish in his heat race, placing him on the front row of the feature before the inversion. After the inversion, Hagar was placed in the 3rd starting position. Hagar fell back from 3rd to 6th throughout the race, but held on to 6th position for the finish. Hagar stated, “We missed the set up and the car was too loose. I did what I could with what I had.” Despite the set-up issues, Derek was still able to achieve another top 10 finish keeping him in the running for the USCS Speedweek points battle.

Hagar passed #80 Morgan Turpen on lap two and led the remaining 30 laps of the Speedweek Finale at Moulton Speedway on Saturday night.
