Hagar Seeking Season-Ending Victory Saturday at Riverside International Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – MARION, Ark. (Oct. 25, 2022) – Derek Hagar will wrap up the 2022 season this Saturday at Riverside International Speedway.

Hagar enters the race with 13 victories this year, including five at the dirt track in West Memphis, Ark.

“Hopefully we can close it out with another win and go into the offseason strong,” he said. “We’ve had some good success at West Memphis and I’m looking forward to getting back there one last time this season.”

Hagar’s 13 triumphs are the most he’s recorded in a single season since 2016 when he posted 16 victories for the second time in three years. After the 16-win seasons in 2016 and 2014, this year’s win total ranks third best.

A big goal is up for grabs this Saturday as Hagar is aiming to end the season with a victory for the first time in his career. He’s won the opening round of the Flip Flop 50 multiple times during the final race night of a season, but has yet to take the checkered flag first in his final A Main.

“It’d be a good boost for us to get things ready for next season,” he said. “We’ve started out years with wins so it’d be nice to finish with a win. I think it’d get us more hyped up for 2023.”
